Easter on the farm... with cousins and fishing and cows (ali hung out on that gate for 20 min) and cakey-da-pops and bedtime stories from auntie amy in a tent and combined birthday parties. fun to see everybody even though short. and happy resurrection day y'all.
time with cousins and sunrise service...
getting to our easter baskets!
and yes, mama and my aunties got to me with the straightener!
so even more time to play outside when it's dry. so from our family of prodigals to the rest of the world of prodigals, blessings this week as we think/hope/contemplate/love/express upon the Who/What of good friday and easter. Father, i know you came for many, but thank you particularly for your Son's death/resurrection for these three... is playing with bubbles really more fun popping them before they actually leave the bubble stick, ali? pfft... so i send her to do hills in the back yard. zac? he just giggles watching her mostly. zac attacks the water like it's filled with piranhas. ali across the bathroom asks mom if this is how daddy indeed does his reading. and then she forays into the bathtub for a splash party x2. and while bubba napped, how can big girl ali not slip away to the nature center for a quick break to see steve and the turtles! she says 'toitle' in a way that's more fun than the real word.
well, you'll see later on. but the kiddos sure did enjoy the nice saturday evening this past weekend (ali too sick for sunday play time when we set a record at 82!). anyway, didn't matter what they did this past week as long as they were outside. zac just bounces and gives out smiles as... ali learns to blow bubbles... on a different day, zac swung while ali played around... including the futbol style dribbling of a basketball... without any of daddy's prompting. ali chases sofi and mya, her neighbor friends but makes sure she points out any airplanes or any sighting of the moon! zac and ali sit in the front by the tree to pose for... "oh wait, daddy... did you tell us NOT to eat from the flower bed?"
