Trick or Treat 2011

a.k.a. "see-if-you-can-pick-out-daddy's-favorite-candy-from-the-neighbor's-bowl-night"
Actually, this first pic represents the night well... couldn't have staged a better "say-cheese-then-you-can-eat-your-candy!" picture if I tried. They look so desperate to hold off.
Ali and Zac, with some last minute costuming from creative mommy, just did our street. Made it to about a half dozen houses, many of them with good friends Miss Peacock and Cookie Monster from across the street.
The video shows both Ali's enthusiasm and lack of understanding of this American ritual. But daddy told her it tastes good... so on to the next house.

Playing in the fall time, lots 'o punkins and a new ride.

Although you'll miss the most random one... on a hot day, Ali went and found her snow suit and wanted to play in it with sandals on, the rest are classic fall. Later this weekend hoping to put the video from Zac's thursday night discovery!

The rest here are from apple orchards and pumpkin places... even in kentucky where we had less than 24 hrs with the Montero's.

And in that process, we now have a vehicle less than 232,000 miles on it! See Zac's joy in the video.

Your family loves you lots.

So we made a van cake... what all mommy's want!

Ok, but since a van came with the weekend, you'll go along with it. So the 3 of us whipped up a cake and some friends came over in the evening to help Ali sing her first rendition of the birthday song...

Best picture? Notice when the ice cream and spoons are placed on the table, Ali sees the most in an opportunity to begin the cake-eating celebration.
