WE WAITED 11 HOURS IN A HOSPITAL TODAY (ALTHOUGH MONTHS BEFORE THAT) TO BRING OUR BABY HOME AND KNOW SHE'S FOREVER IN OUR HOME. SO AS WE WATCHED PAINFULLY POOR TELEVISION TO DISTRACT OURSELVES, WE AT LEAST WERE CAUGHT UP WITH THE LAST HOUR OF TELEVISION. NEWS WAS BREAKING! THOUSANDS GATHERED TOGETHER TO WAIT... ANTICIPATE... HOPE... OR JUST BE PART OF THE PARTY TO CHEER ON. THE WHITE SMOKE SIGNALED A NEW MEMBER WAS TO ENTER A SMALL GROUP OF HUMAN BEINGS AS PART OF TRADITION/HERITAGE. CHURCH BELLS WERE TOLLING... WHEN WILL WE MEET THEM? AND WHAT WILL HIS NEW NAME BE? YES, THE ANALOGY WAS TOO OBVIOUS FOR EVEN US FOLK TO IGNORE. OUR LITTLE GIRL, EMMALYNN MARIE STAUFFER WOULD NOT BE KNOWN, AT LEAST TODAY, WITH TALKING HEAD REPORTERS DECIPHERING EVERY SOUND AND MOVEMENT MADE, LIKE IN ROME. BUT WE WERE. AND WE KNOW YOU WERE/HAVE BEEN AT HOME CHEERING US ON EVEN MORE BOISTEROUS THAN THOSE CRAZY UMBRELLA CLAD FOLKS IN ST. PETER'S SQUARE. TOO FITTING. LITTLE GIRL, YOUR ENTRY MAY HAVE BEEN QUIETER, BUT NO LESS SUPPORTED. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE BLESSINGS YOU HAVE BEEN. MORE LATER.... Today is day 11 in our 10:10:1...operation adoption. It is hard to believe that in a little over ten days God has provided $22,000! We were given $12,500 from our 10:10:1 prayer and a taco lunch at our church. The word was spread in an amazing way and family, friends, and strangers have supported us in so many ways. We are in awe at God's goodness and plan. We found out several days ago that we were awarded a matching grant and through some more generous donations we were able to receive the grant. Wow! Praise God! Thank you for your support, spreading the word, and prayers. We are blessed beyond words. Thank you! Please continue to pray: we are driving to Florida tomorrow after work. We will spend time with the birth mom on Saturday and she will be induced on Sunday. We think there will be a baby girl on Monday. Pray for the Birth mom as she makes this difficult decision. May we be full of encouragement and love. We will keep you updated!

Praise the Lord! Our 10:10:1 Goal was met today on day 7. We had a taco dinner at our church to benefit our adoption. The Lord blessed us in amazing ways and we went over our goal of $10,000. We are in awe of the plans He has for this child and the way that His people have loved us. Please continue to pray. Our full adoption costs are $28,000.
